My photographic work is inspired by the abundance of natural beauty that surrounds me in the San Francisco Bay Area. I frequent nature preserves, arboretums, and (as often as possible) the ocean to satisfy the always-present craving for more nature in my own life. The stillness of the natural world facilitates my artistic growth.
At home, I cultivate a wildflower garden and photograph the flowers in my studio where, with the help of my macro lens and lightbox, I am treated to a glimpse into the magical essence of flowers and plants, resulting in BOTÁNICA, an ongoing body of work.
